RIV34 Curdies River Estuary Mouth
RIV34 is situated on the Curdies River estuary, Peterborough Victoria. This Fluker post was installed to monitor water level and sand movement. The Curdies River estuary is an intermittently open estuary. When the estuary is open, water flows from the river to the sea. When the estuary is closed, sand built up at the river mouth prevents an exchange of water between the river and the sea. The photos taken at this Fluker Post will complement monthly observations and water quality data collected by the Curdies River EstuaryWatch group and will help to establish a long term record of how long the estuary is open or closed to the sea each year.
