RIV12 Sevens Creek, Euroa

This Fluker Post is located along the walking track at “The Rockies” on the Seven Creeks in Euroa. The creek is an important and beautiful part of the Euroa landscape. The Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority together with the Friends of the Seven Creeks have undertaken extensive exotic woody and non woody weed control and are now revegetating the banks with native species. Native vegetation - reeds, shrubs, groundcovers and trees provide shade, shelter and food for the many types of birds, animals, bugs and fish that live along and in the creek. Streamside vegetation also assists in stabilising banks, reducing the movement of sediment and improving water quality. Images taken will show changes in both the streamside vegetation and instream habitat.
